A buddy of mine had mentioned to me about the EFJJA. He knew I was looking to get my 10 year son involved in Jujitsu. It was the best move I had made for my son! And he loves it. Eddie along with the other instructors that work with the kids are awesome! They have a full grasp in dealing with them and are totally professional. Eddie is a tremendous inspiration to everyone, he's a world class instructor that fosters only positive experiences. Our daughter has improved as a human being by leaps and bounds since starting Jiu Jitsu, her grades have improved, her behavior and physical conditioning have never been better. I cant say enough about Eddie Fyvie and his Jiu-Jitsu school. I took a women's self defense course here and enjoyed every minute of it! I really felt like we learned techniques that I would be able to apply to a real life situation. It also was just a lot of fun! My husband also started learning Jiu-Jitsu about 9 months ago and has said it has improved his confidence and focus as well as hes lost 30 pounds! I highly recommend this academy to anyone looking to make changes in their physical and mental well being.

I have been a certified police instructor for 20 years and have attended five martial arts schools in 30 years, and I have never been in a more positive martial arts instruction environment. The instructor staff, with an unrivaled level of life experience in the area, are both experts and humble. Classes are well structured and all of the students work together with a complete absence of ego or arrogance, regardless of rank. The techniques are practical, effective and efficient, and I would (and have) recommended the Eddie Fyvie Academy to anyone interested in learning martial arts. If you are a parent and want to introduce your child to the martial arts, do not go anywhere else. The kids classes are very positive experiences for the students, and the perfect learning environment for children.

I met Eddie almost three years ago when I enrolled my then five year old son. Since then, I enrolled my other son, and then myself and my third son will be starting shortly. In the past three years I can confidently say that Jiu-Jitsu has positively impacted all our lives. This is what I expected when I signed us all up. What I didn't expect was to see Eddie grow so much as a teacher and a person, growth that I find inspiring. Eddie understands the psychological approach to teaching children as young as four, making all his students feel important while ingraining values of being a better person; values that I as a parent strive to instill in my children. My kids and I have been going here and learning from Eddie and his team of instructors for a year and a half. We continue to learn and grow from our experiences. My kids always want to go and always enjoy the classes. Eddie is like no other instructor of any kind, he is far superior to any other kid oriented professional I have ever seen, he connects with all the kids and they all respect him. This isn't about learning to beat people up, or learning to be an MMA fighter, it is learning to be a better human being by understanding the mentality of others. Brazilian Jiu-Jistu isnt just about the physical aspects of each individual either, it is far more mental than you can imagine. If there ever was a part of you that wants to learn a martial art or if your kids want to join and be supported and instructed by one of the best in the field, this is the place to come!!! I cannot give it a high enough rating, as it far surpassed anything I could have expected to get. It all started when my kids said, "dad we want to learn karate or something" Come down and meet everyone, it is like a big family!
